People interviewed: Susan Harding and Alex Coomes, founders

Your best-seller? Daisy Gold is our flagship golden ale. With plenty of flavour and character, it’s a great session beer that’s drinkable all year round.

Your personal fave? Little Nipper is a lower gravity beer that hits above its weight in the flavour department. It’s ‘lower on alcohol but high on bite!’

Your most unique? We brew a small batch of Village Green once a year on the day after the hops are harvested. We visit the hop farm and collect hand¬selected hops. It will be available in early autumn at Platform 3, our micro pub in Claygate.

One you wish was yours… There are so many amazing real ales available now that this is an impossible question to answer. We recommend that real ale drinkers keep an open mind and be prepared to at least taste any beer offered as they may be pleasantly surprised.

What’s next stage for your brewery? To continue to produce and sell consistently good beer of high quality that can be enjoyed by all.

Finally, where’s the best place for people to try your beer? Platform 3, Brightwater Brewery’s micro pub in Claygate, is the best place. Our real ales are served direct from the cask, often by Alex our brewer. Our Daisy Gold is also a permanent fixture at the Hare & Hounds pub in Claygate, our bottled beers can be purchased at Garsons Farm Shop in Esher and, if you fancy a beer with your curry, then Rasoy in Claygate is the place to go.
