Your guide to eating out in Surrey

Whether you are looking for fine dining in Michelin starred restaurants or a cosy meal in an old fashioned country pub, eating out in Surrey has a little bit of everything. Here, we give you a brief overview of some of the options...

For starters (no pun intended), there are currently three Michelin starred restaurants in Surrey:

• Drake's in Ripley
• Drakes on the Pond in Abinger Hammer
• The Glasshouse in Kew

These three are joined on three rosettes by The Latymer at Pennyhill Park in Bagshot, in that other gastronomical beacon de rigueur the AA Restaurant Guide.

And, though Surrey's beer prices are the most expensive in the country, our pubs don't fare badly when it comes to recieving praise either. Pub bible for the last quarter of a century, The Good Pub Guide highlights a number of top Surrey public houses in which to quench your thirst and tame your hunger:
